Testing technologies under real-life conditions
To be able to find an optimum solution for your cleaning and deburring requirements, test series and repeatable scientific procedures are required.
In our pilot plant and laboratory, we can carry out extensive preliminary tests to find a suitable cleaning system for you. In our research and development center, we have various standard machines working with aqueous cleaning media available.
We know what counts
An optimum cleaning system is dependent on a number of different factors. The material, condition and the degree of soiling of the part to be cleaned play an important role. During our test series, we aim to find the ideal combination of temperature, treatment time, cleaning agents, mechanical equipment and media processing. Our approach is always holistic – for us, taking a close look at the part′s production process sequence at the customer′s factory forms an integral part of our search for perfect results.

We carry out real-time tests with soiled parts taken out of your production process so that you can monitor the performance of the Silberhorn machine. You can experience the various process steps directly and in real time and see the amazing results for yourself!
As soon as the cleaning process has been completed, we test your parts’ cleanliness in our laboratory in accordance with VDA 19 / ISO 16232 methods. The following processes are available for testing purposes:
- Particle extraction from parts using a jetting procedure
- Particle extraction of parts by means of ultrasound using various frequencies
- Fully-automatic analysis of extracted metal particles (evaluation of particle distribution
- Differentiation between metal particles, non-metal particles and fibers)
- Gravimetric analysis of residual dirt (balance scale accuracy 0,01 mg)
