This application is for parts that cannot or should not be deburred by brushes, e.g. parts with sections that are inaccessible to brushes such as deep bores or complex undercuts. The solution involves deburring with water jets at a pressure of more than 200 bar. The water jet is directed at the burr to be removed, which consequentially breaks at its weakest point. After this process, no burr can come loose anymore as any remaining burr has already been subjected to forces much higher than those ever exerted in a motor or gearbox.
This process is often used for crank shafts where oil channel bores at the main bearings and lifting bearings need to be deburred. It is also used for cross-drilled holes in the oil circuit of motor blocks and cylinder heads. A brush-station can be integrated upstream.
The following machines have already been successfully used for a wide variety of deburring requirements:
- REZ, Robot Deburring Cell
- Rotary Cleaning Table with high-pressure-jet deburring,
4, 6, 8, 10 stations
- High-pressure (HD-) deburring machines, e.g. for automatic gearboxes
- Combi-machines including pre-cleaning, deburring, secondary cleaning, drying features
