Silberhorn
AS AN EMPLOYER

In Lupburg, we build systems that clean components – for customers in the automotive industry, medical technology, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, and the aerospace sector. Almost every one of these systems is a bespoke design. To ensure we can meet our customers’ requirements, we need people who possess technical expertise, are committed to their work and take responsibility.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Technical expertise is one half of the equation; the desire to help shape the future is the other. Because we re-think almost every system from scratch, every project involves tasks for which there is no ready-made solution – whether in design and assembly, or in procurement or sales. Whether you have professional experience or not: it’s important to us that we work together to find solutions!

Discover the job vacancies we currently have on offer. You can find out more and apply directly online via the Silberhorn job portal – we’d also be happy to receive unsolicited applications.

TRAINING / SCHOOL WORK EXPERIENCE

For over 30 years, training at Silberhorn has taken place right where our machines are built – with experienced trainers who are always on hand to offer guidance. Right from the start, you’ll work on an equal footing with our experienced specialists, gaining valuable practical experience on real customer projects.

A glance around the company shows that these experiences lead to careers: our service department is now headed by a colleague who started his career with us as a trainee.

Not sure yet which career path suits you? Then take the opportunity to do an internship and get to know our various apprenticeship programmes first-hand.

WHAT WE OFFER
BENEFITS

What an employer has to offer is reflected less in the contract than in day-to-day life: whether working hours are genuinely flexible, whether further training is approved, and whether there’s still some time left over after work. Here’s what you can count on with us.

Flexible working hours for a better work-life balance

Flexible working hours allow employees to tailor their daily work routine to their individual needs and help to achieve a healthy work-life balance. Through flexitime and various working time models, employees can flexibly adapt their working hours to their personal needs and the organisation’s requirements. In addition, up to 20 per cent of working hours can be worked remotely, provided that the role in question allows for this.

More free time

30 days’ holiday, plus time off on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, will give you plenty of time to unwind.

Further training

We promote the professional and personal development of our staff. Through targeted training courses, seminars and individual development opportunities, we support them in building their skills and developing both professionally and personally.

On the move

Whether you cycle to work on a BusinessBike or use a company car – where relevant to your role – we’ll support you with your travel arrangements.

Financial extras

A contribution of up to 20 per cent towards your workplace pension scheme, corporate benefits and a monthly non-cash benefit of 50 euros provide you with additional financial benefits.

A secure job

We’re not big on fixed-term contracts. If you’re a good fit for our team, you can count on long-term prospects and a secure position within our company.

Together

Regular events for our staff and shared lunch breaks help to strengthen team spirit.

YOUR questions, our answers

How do I apply?

The easiest way is to use the application form in the relevant job advert. This ensures that we receive all your details and documents in full and can process your application quickly. However, you can also apply by email to bewerbung@maschinenbau-silberhorn.de or by post. Please include your telephone number and email address so that we can contact you.

What documents do you need from me?

The most important thing is your CV, setting out your career history and qualifications to date. Please also include a brief covering letter stating which position you are applying for, when you could start with us, and, if you wish, your salary expectations. You can upload any references and certificates in the ‘Other’ field of the application form.

Can I apply for several jobs at the same time?

Yes. You can apply for each vacancy individually or specify in your application which vacancies you are interested in.

Can I submit a speculative application?

Yes, of course. Please use the ‘unsolicited application’ option on our careers portal and briefly explain which area you would like to work in with us.

How can I tell if my application has been received?

If you apply via the application form, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt by email. If you do not receive one, please check your spam folder.

What happens next after I’ve applied?

Our HR department will first review your application and then forward it to the relevant department responsible for the vacancy. We usually get in touch with you by email or telephone within 14 days of receiving your application to answer any initial questions and discuss the next steps. If it takes a little longer, we’ll let you know what stage your application is at.

How do I prepare for a job interview?

The interview is an opportunity for both of us to get to know each other. We’ll tell you how we work and what your responsibilities and team would be like. You’ll tell us about your career so far and what you bring to the role. You’ll be well prepared if you’ve already familiarised yourself with what Silberhorn does. And please feel free to bring your own questions – we’d love to hear them.

I have a question about a vacancy. Who should I contact?

To Nicole Wolfsteiner, Head of Human Resources. You can contact her by telephone on +49 9492 9425-0, on her mobile and via WhatsApp on +49 151 55032649, or by email at bewerbung@maschinenbau-silberhorn.de.

What happens to my personal data, and can I withdraw my application?

We will treat your application in confidence. We will retain your data for the duration of the recruitment process. If you are not offered a position, we will retain your data for a further six months from the date of the rejection; if you are offered a position, we will retain it for up to seven years after the end of your employment. You can withdraw your application at any time; simply send a brief email to bewerbung@maschinenbau-silberhorn.de. You can find full details in our privacy policy.

Silberhorn is the employer of choice for people who want not only to work alongside cutting-edge technology, but also to help shape it. We are large enough to take on international projects and exciting challenges, yet small enough for each individual’s contribution to be recognised.
